Acceleration sensor solution

One customer is looking for power supply IC for acceleration sensor, request spec is below.

・5Vin → 22Vout / Iout: 2~4mA
・Constant current is required.

I think that constant current LED driver (TPS61xxx) is possibility to use.
Is this solution no problem?
If there any idea or reference design, please let me know.

    Hi Satoshi-san,

    TPS611XX is LED driver which boost out voltage is adapted to LED string voltage automatically. Constant current for LED flows from boost out to LED sink maintaining min headroom voltage. This is totally different application from acc power supply. If you need 22V fixed output, you better use other generic boost DC/DCs though its current output is not fixed.

    TPS61042 regulates LED current, but doesn't regulate output voltage, so it won't be suitable for your application either.

    If you can use a generic boost DC/DC, and limit max current to 4mA, that will work better for you.
