Hi.

I wanna design AM5728 circuits.

I refer AM572x Industrial Development Kit (IDK) power part schematic circuit.

That schematic use tps6590375. But I wanna use tps6590379.

I'm going to use same schematic circuit.

Is it possible?

What is the difference between TPS6590375 and TPS6590379?

What is the difference between TPS6590375 and TPS6590376?

Welcome to E2E!

I can confirm that TPS6590379 is the device you want to use for this circuit. This is a newer version of the TPS6590375. In this version the MPU and CORE rails have a default voltage of 1.15V and the SMPS3/DDR power down at the same time as the CORE rail. These updates should be compatible with this design.

Jin,

There is not one better, they are just different. If you want to keep the same schematic as in the AM572x IDK, then you will want the TPS6590379. However, you can also use the TPS6590378 to power the AM5728 if you prefer. An example of how to configure each of these devices (along with a description of their differences) can be found here: www.ti.com/.../sliu011e.pdf
