LM3423: LM3423

Part Number: LM3423
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP15027

I am studying this LED driver for our driver monitoring camera and found below.

In the highlighted sentences, it states that RSNS can be neglected to be approximated the number of LEDs.

We are using 4 IR LED SFH4725S (OSRAM), however there no dynamic resistance from the manufacturer.

What would the impact to the current sensing ?

Could we still use this driver ?

  • Hello Kuan,

That device is very stable, I don't think you need to consider Rsns in any way other than for setting the current. It will work fine. By the way, for ADAS systems you might want to look at PMP15027. But the LM3423 should also work fine.

    Regards,
