TPS65916: tps65916 power for Socionext M10V

Part Number: TPS65916
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65911, TPS65023

Hi,Can TPS65916 power for Socionext M10V platform?

  • Hello Joy,

I don't have the power requirements for the M10V device, so I can't say for certain whether TPS65916 can power it. If you can share with us the voltages and currents that you need, I can try to find an appropriate power solution.

You can also use our parametric search tool, and filter by number of bucks, number of LDOs, max current, etc. to find the closest PMIC to your power requirements.

  • Hi Karl,
The voltages and currents of M10V device are like this:
    0.9V@6A 1.2V@1A 1.8V@1A 3.3V@1A
Power sequence is that the first is 0.9V,second is 1.2V,third is 1.8V,and last is 3.3V.
    that's all.
  • Hi Joy,

In that case, TPS65916 could power the M10V. You might also consider the TPS65911 which can meet those voltages and sequence. Note that both of these devices are OTP-configurable, and we don't have any existing device configuration with those voltages and sequences. You can contact your local TI sales representative for more info about new OTPs.

Another option is to use a hardware-configurable PMIC like TPS65023 to power 1.2V, 1.8V, and 3.3V, and use a discrete buck for the 0.9V rail. For TPS65023, all sequencing and voltage selection is handled externally, and could be configured in the system for your requirements.
