I need a 4S1P Li-Ion charger for an audio amplifier. Input voltage 24V, Battery charge 16.8V @1>1.5A, load peak 3A. I was going to use BQ24703 as it is standalone but BQ24773 is newer but needs a micro to setup.
My question, are there any benefits in one device over the other that would push me towards one? Both seem suitable. I'm looking for lowest system cost, ability to run without a battery, and load/charge management.
