bq20z90: flashing bq20z90 *.senc to bq8030dbt

 Hi,

 I have small batch of BLANK bq8030dbt gas gauges (hardware only) IC's. Could you please advice whether I can flash firmware image along with dataflash which in *.senc format got from bq20z90 (hardware version 'a6', firmware version '4.01') to the blank bq8030dbt using bqEVSW and EV2300 adapter?

 Another qeustion can you provide me a technical reference manual for v4.01 revision of bq20z90 gas gauge? Or list of changes made in comparison to v1.50 revision, 'cause I see only sluu264a trm for this gauge.

    Hi Igor,
    I won't ask you where you got access to bq8030 as it is not a catalog device.
    bq20z90 & bq8030 are different devices so you cannot flash the bq20z90 FW to bq8030.
    The bq20z90 TRM I can find is www.ti.com/.../sluu251

    Thanks for response David!

    I just noticed that these controllers (bq8030dbt) are typically tied with bq29330 frontend, so it was assumption they share same hardware platform with bq20z90. As they are useless for me without firmware, I will try to flash one sacrificial gauge with senc I have, just for experience, and check if it will work if any.

    P.S.
    sluu251 (June 2006) is outdated against sluu264a (August 2007)
    both documents not cover v4.01 firmware revision.
