BQ34Z100: First flashing on mass production

Part Number: BQ34Z100
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EV2400

Hi.
I would like to use the BQ34Z100 in our new product design.
What are the configuration of an new soldered BQ34Z100 ic? I need to calibrate for my 5cell Li-Ion pack.
i can communicate with I2C this is no problem. i tested with my eval board. But this board i calibrate with the TI Software.
How i can do it in mass production?

Many thanks

Remo

  • Hi Remo,

bq34z100 ic comes with the FW. Are you using a custom board? If so the custom board should have the same FW as the EVM. you can connect the EV2400 to the I2C line.
For mass production, you can calibrate 20-30 boards and average the value. If there is no big divergence in the value you can use that to crate a golden master.

    Regards,
