BQ25121: + BQ51013BRHL high Iq when low qi charging flied occurs

Hi,

I have the BQ51013BRHL tied to the BQ25121 to charge the battery of the device I'm working on.

I found that there is an issue that when the board is slowly removed from the qi charging platform it will caused an increased Iq in the BQ25121 to up 1mA.
Then if I put it back on the qi charger and remove quickly the issue is resolved.
Seems like the low voltage or low slew rate of a qi charger loosing power causes the BQ25121 to glitch.

Is there a workaround to prevent this?

Dajgoro,

As I guessed, this is related to the other issue you were reporting on Ship Mode. The workaround is to use the BQ25121A or BQ25120A to get around this problem.

The other workaround to try is to disable VINDPM and reduce VBATREG to 3.6V before VIN unplug.

The problem is that I can't really know when the user will remove the device from the charger.
Well, seems I'll have to deal with what I have now, and get the A model for the next batch.
