Hi,

Can TPS51220A be used to implement 2-phase, single output buck converter?
Customer consulted me after seeing the following materials.

Hello Yusuke,

TPS51220A couldn't support 2-phase, single output function. Because the comp voltage and sense current is different between two channels.

why do you implement 2-phase, single output? To support larger loading current? You can use two MOSFET in parallel.

・Distribute heat sources
・Reduce ripple.

Hello Yusuke-san,

I suggest to use two MOSFET in parallel to distribute heat and use larger inductor to reduce ripple.
