BQ24650: BQ24650 charge abnormal

hi  

my customer used BQ24650 meet one issue as below,

4 minutes charge later when Vbat up to 4.079V, it stop to charge and battery voltage to about 3.45V, it re-charge to 4.079, and I minutes later it stop to charge again, and then Vbat drop to 3.45V , and follow this cycle. details see below wave.

Top wave is Vbat, bottom is charge current Wave.

pls help to analysis it, thanks.

    Hi Lina,

    Where is the the battery voltage measured? how is the battery connected? 

    Looks like this can be caused by the line impedance. The voltage drop is basically IR drop across the trace+wire. When current is applied, the battery voltage on FB pin is when battery voltage is 4.079v exceeds the battery regulation voltage. Thus charge terminates. When no current is applying, the voltage on VFB pin falls below re-charge threshold, thus charge resumes.
