TPS2113A: TPS2113 output ringing

Part Number: TPS2113A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS2113

When Vin1(V_5V_S) goes power down, there is a rining on OUT(V_BAT_4V) of TPS2113.

Is that the normal in TPS2113.

Customer is looking for a solution for voltage switch OUT=IN1/IN2 bease on the VSENS level.

Is the TPS2113 good solution or they should review another solution for this kind of application?

  • Hi Peter,

When VIN1 "goes power down", is power being disconnected from the board itself? Also, are long cables being used during this testing? It could be that the change in current on VIN1 is causing the voltage on VIN1 to jump up due to the inductance of the wires. This rise in voltage will hit the VSNS threshold and the device will change back to IN1. Would it be possible to run the test again with a higher capacitance on the board for IN1? This should nullify the inductance of the cables.

    Thanks,
