Is it possible to set ILIM as 1A?

For the TPS61089, at least set the LIM at >2. Because the tolarance is around +-0.8A.

why do you need such low current limit value? Could you please tell the Vin, Vo, Io to us? So that we can choose the right part for you.

From your output power, the peak switch current is higher than 2A, around 2.3A, so acccounting for the tolarence, you need to set the current llimit at around 3.1-3.2A, so Rlim=301k ohm can be a good choice.
