BQ25703A: the battery charging current is getting changed to 00 A

Hi

I am using BQ25703A battery charging IC in my board.

  1. when i set the battery charging current to some value it allows the battery to get charged at that value but after some time ( ~5 mins ) the battery charging stops and when the read back battery charging current register 03/02 it shows that value is changed to 00. it is not acceptable for my case as my host will not be ON always to set battery charging register at equal interval. how to know why is this register getting changed. 
  2. on power on from adapter the battery charging ic is default setting the changing current to 120 mA. is it possible to set this value to hiher current like 1 A by default.
