BQ40Z50-R2: LED option to remain solid ON

Hello,

New in BQ40Z50-R2 is, after the FC bit is set the display should stop flashing,

but neither with Settings - Configurations - LED Configuration - LEDONFC ON nor OFF the LED will stop flashing after charging completion (FC is set).

Is there something else to set to let the LED stop flashig?

How to get the LED´s stop indicating the carge at the time the FC bit set?

Still no solution found for the problem... charging LED is flashing although LEDONFC is switched off.

We want to go for mass production in two weeks, so please could anyone help me please to find the correct settings?

Dear dMax,

i tried 0, 15 and 60 minutes, LEDONFC on and off.
Nothing happened, the LED´s are still flashing until the current goes under: Gas Gauging->Current Thresholds->Quit Current

Any suggestions?

Hi Norbert,

When I tested on the EVM with the default .srec , I could not reproduce your issue. I set LED configuration = 00d4 (LEDONFC = 0) to prevent turninon on the LED at CUV or PF mode. I set FET options =20 to force FET off when GaugingStatus()[TC] bit is set. Would you please post your gg file or .srec file to test it on the bench?

When FC bit is set, LED is still on with gaugingstatus[LED] = 1 and then it is off after a few seconds with gaugingstatus[LED] = 0. Would you check the gaugingstatus ?
