TPS62172: What happens, when a thermal pad is floating

Hi, team.

We're using TPS62172 in 12Vin.

When a thermal pad is a floating, does IC malfunction?

I'd like to know whether a waveform of attachment occurs by influence of PAD.

    Hi Kobayashi-san,

    It is required to solder the thermal pad. If there is a device behavior question, you can test the EVM under the same conditions as it does have the thermal pad soldered.

    It is not clear what the signals in the waveforms are of or the test conditions.
