TPS22994: Only GPIO mode.

Hello,

I am planning to make an only GPIO control from TPS22994. Can I leave SDA, SCL, VDD floating or should be grounded? ADDx should be tied to ground? Preferably at cold boot I want them to be turned OFF, how can I do it?

Hi Prudhvi,

If you are not planning on using I2C, then you can leave SDA, SCL, and VDD floating. ADDx should not be left floating, and tying those pins to GND would work for the application. If the ON pins are pulled low during startup, then during cold boot none of the channels will be enabled.

Hello,
Thank you for the support. Should I directly connect ON pins to GND or with a pull down resistor. What value would you suggest if I need a resistor. Net ixst connect these pins to GPIO right?

Hi Prudhvi,

You can either pull the ON pins down directly to GND or through a pull down resistor. For resistor value, 10kΩ or 100kΩ would work without issue. You can connect the ON pins directly to GPIO outputs on the microcontroller.
