BQ2000T: Charger and Gauge solution for a two cell NiMH

Is there a one chip solution that offers charging and gauging for a two cell NiMH design?Our current design uses the BQ2000T as a charger but we need to implement a gauging mechanism so looking at the the BQ34110 as an option, just not sure how it would all connect and work. Is there any reference design for a 2 chip solution?
