TPS25200: is reverse current allowed when EN is high?

Part Number: TPS25200

I want to use the TPS25200's ILIM feature to restrict current in the forward direction but I want unrestricted current flow in the reverse direction.   Is that doable.?

  • Hi Jeff,

Yes, it is doable. Once the device is enabled, it allows reverse current flow. But please note, we cannot start the system by applying power at OUT terminal (of device) as the device's internal circuit draws power from the IN terminal.

Can you share more information on the application use case, end equipment.
If you prefer to have bidirectional current controllability, you may follow the approach covered in the app note www.ti.com/.../slva948.pdf

    Best Regards,
