UCC27712-Q1: similar part needed with larger lead spacing

Hi,

We selected Texas Instruments’ UCC27712-Q1 to drive the MOSFETs of our motor output bridge, but ran into a challenge that I hope you can help with.

 

The lead-to-lead spacing is 0.030” which became the weak link in our high voltage spacing analysis during board layout and routing.  We follow internal rules on spacing between net classes based on voltages.  We have control of traces but obviously not for part leads.  Since it’s not a feature we can change we are looking for an alternative.

 

Does TI make a similar driver with lead spaces of 0.085”?  Anything in the ballpark?

    Hi David, 

    Thanks for posting! If you are concerned about pin spacing I recommend two alternatives:

    UCC27714 - 600V half bridge driver with 4A drive current, the drawback here is there is no Q100 part available

    UCC21222-Q1 - a dual channel isolated driver with Q100 version available
