Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5112, LM5110
Hi Team -

SM74101 DATA SHEET PAGE 4 UNDER ABSOL RATING IS SHOWING A TYPO AND NEEDS TO VERIFY.
On the SM74101 data sheet, Section 6.3 shows recommended operating conditions. The VCC operating range is specified at 3.5V to 14V.
Later sections indicate that the gate driver can be operated from a single power supply or a split supply. All of this leads me to believe that a split power supply of +7V and -7V could be used to power the device, since 7 + 7 = 14.
But if I set the ground reference, labeled IN_REF, in the middle at zero volts, I’ve already exceeded the absolute maximum value of IN_REF (to VEE) specified as 5V in Section 6.1. How can this be? Since I’ve already successfully run a SM74101 in excess of these conditions, I’m thinking that the IN_REF maximum listed in Section 6.1 is a typo and should be 15V (like all the other inputs) and not 5V.
Thank you.
