BQ34Z100-G1: Charging and Discharging average current reading

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, EV2400

Hi all,

I use bq34z100-G1 to monitor charging and discharging current of Lithium Iron Phosphate battery pack. My battery capacity is 24V 10Ah. My charger is about 25.2V 8Ah. I use microcontroller to read battery charging current. Command code is 0x0A/0x0B. When I plug charger and read charging current only i.e only microcontroller ON, its data is correct. But when I plug and  turn ON power parts ( discharging current is around 500mA), its data is not correct. For example, actual charging current is 8.7A and actual discharging current is 0.4A. It should show 8.3A but reading data is about 7.7A charging current.

So I want to know why reading current data is not correct.

Please help me if you know this problem.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Aung
