BQ24450: BQ24450 triode damage

Part Number: BQ24450

hi,everyboby:

I have a question about BQ24450.

We found the dead MJD32CT4(Q1 at below schematic) at production line.

So I am checking now what problem is.

<test condition>

- no VIN (doesn't insert 16V)

- 13V battery is connected

I measured MJD32CT4 Emitter and Base voltage.

- Emitter voltage = 0V

- Base voltage = 6.7V (This is same position as DRVC of bq24450)

In this case, the measured MJD32CT4 VEB(emitter - base voltage) is 6.7V and this exceeds the absolute max. rating (VEB = -5V).

<Question>

1. Is my measurement right?

2. Is it right that the voltage of DRVC (PIN16 of bq24450) is 6.7V ?

3. Is this problem?
