TPS2595: What's the difference between "Precision Adjustable Limit Switch" and "eFuse"?

Part Number: TPS2595

Hi,

They all enter the constant current mode when the current exceeds the limit. The major difference is the Vin level, eFuse is higher than "Precision Adjustable Limit Switch". Are there any other difference?

  • Hi Howard,

From overload protection point of view both devices behave similarly.
Precision Adjustable Limit Switch are more suitable for USB ports, max voltage limited to 6.5V, internally fixed rise time
eFuse comes with wider operating voltage, adjustable rise time for driving load capacitor loads, over voltage protection
