BQ24171: System connected directly to Vbat. No powerpath switching.

In the datasheet there is a single cell application with the System connected to Vbat (no power path switching). 

Is this also possible with 12V Adapter and  a 2-cell battery? Which modifications are necessary?

    Hi Gerhard,

    You would have to change the FB resistors to accommodate the 2 cell battery and the OVPSET to be higher than the adapter voltage (which is recommended to be 9V to 12V for a 2 cell application). The ISET resistors will also need to change depending on your adapter current limit. Modify TS resistor divider depending on the thermistor you use.
