Please clear below queries on bq34z100-G1

1)bq34z100-G1 can monitor under voltage, over voltage ,each cell voltage,pack current of lead acid battery?

2)Cell balancing is possible for lead acid  battery?

3)Do i need to use bq77908 or bq77910 cell balancing? if yes,bq77908/bq77910 ic is not supported for lead acid battery. in the datasheet it mentioned cell balancing for Li-Ion and Li-Polymer battery packs.

4)bq34z100-G1 can monitor each cell voltage of lead acid  battery?

5)Do you have any alternate part for lead acid BMS?it should be match to our requirements.

    Hi Rajaneesh,

    1) The bq34z100-G1 does stack gauging / monitoring, if you would like to do it for each cell you would need 1 bq34z100-G1 for each cell (a lead acid battery 12V typ has 6S in series). That is one approach you can do. You will need isolation to separate the communications based on the voltage references being different for each devices stacked

    2) Yes it is possible to balance, however the bq34100-G1 does not do this. You will need a different cell balancing circuit for this

    3) See answer number 2

    4) See above number 1

    5) We only have the bq34z100-G1 or bq34110 which are both pack gauges.
