TPS61236P: Design reliability

Hi,

I posted this morning a post where I explained how I tried to integrate a li ion to 5V @ 2A dc converter using TSP61236P (all resistor and capacitor values come from WEBENCH) and how it didn't work as expected due to my wrong design. It's the first time I design some dc dc voltage converter circuit and I try to rebuild the pcb board layout following the general design rules for boost converter.

Could someone please tell me if this new design could be suitable for an application like my one?

about the schematic
1. application add one more 22uF
2. you cna keep C9 but doesn't assemble it
3. increase the setting output current limit to 2.4A if you need 2A because of the variation of the output current limit.

about the layout
the connection between IC and the Panel is week, which may cause thermal problem. could you refer to the layout in the EVM to make the connection strong?

3. I need 1.4A peak current so should 2A be enough?

about the layout

I tried to replicate the EVM design. It the problem the thermal pad around the IC? Could a configuration like this be better?

the PCB is much better now. please also place several ground vias beside the IC. this ground vias help to improve the thermal.
if output current is only 1.4A, 2A current limit is OK.
