I'm looking for more info on this chip. I think it's what is causing my circuit not to work. I'd like to replace it. Any advice would be helpful. Is this different from the bq30z554-r1? If I bought a chip that reads BQ30Z55, could I just replace it 1 to 1 or are there software changes that would be required. Thanks in advance.

Hi Chris,
the device you're showing here is a custom IC. it is using the same HW platform as bq30z554-R1 but has a different firmware. Due to confidentiality reasons, we cannot share information about bq30z55.

I really appreciate the quick response.

Is there anyway to get a bq30z55 without disclosing information about it? Or if I replaced it with a fresh bq30z554-r1, whats the worst thing that can happen? Would it just not work?
