SM72445: SM72445, SM72295 Solar charger Problems.

Hello TI Forum.

I meet a problems when i design my own MPPT charger based in appnote SolarMagic SM3320.

I used LMR16030PDDAR for +10V power supply.

My problem is:  LMR16030PDDAR  making burn when i connect battery to output and power supply to input.

If only connect power supply or only connect batt the circuit it's working normal.

What wrong with this?

    Which batter do you talk about that you connected to the output? If the battery voltage is lower than the LMR16030 Vout setting level, you may place a constant overloading that may damage the device. Anyway, you should post this under the subject of LMR16030 and you will guided to the right engineer to support you.

    Thanks so much for your answer.

    But sorry for not clearing my question. This problem from SM72295, when i connect the battery at output and input connect with power supply, it's making mosfet is short, and burning the SM72295 driver and this is making LMR16030 overload. So i don't know reason why.

    This needs to be answered by the engineer who supports the SM72295. Our product line supports the SM72245 and you should create a new post just under the subject of SM72295, and you will be guided to the right engineer. Lets close the thread here. Thanks
