With older versions (2.0.166) of the "UCD3xxx Device GUI" it was possible to download firmware even though the DEVICE_ID string was not in the format "UCD310064V1|0.0.49.0053|130423".
Any way to get around this in 7.0.25?
Thanks,
Fredrik W

Hello Fredrik,
The Fusion Designer no longer supports the UCD3xxx devices. The Fusion Studio is the latest GUI, which can be downloaded here: www.ti.com/.../FUSION-DIGITAL-POWER-STUDIO
In this GUI you can remove the check for the device_id string and will only get a warning which you can then proceed with a download. To do this, click custom mode on the top left and enter the password: "nodeviceid"
The device_id check is useful in avoiding downloading the wrong firmware to the wrong device. It helps in those situations when you have different UCd3xxx devices and are developing different firmware for them.
Hope this helps!
