Hello, I use the BQ28z610 + MSP430G2402 on my board, Now I want to unlock the password and read the revision, ID of battery.  But the information which I read aren't consistency, I don't know why.

 Could you help to explain it? and how to resolve the issue.

    Hi Xianrong,

    I'm assuming your gauge is sealed. To unseal send to 00 the default unseal key commands within 2 seconds

    to 0x00 write 0x 14 04
    and then write 0x 72 36 within 2 seconds.

    This will unseal the gauge

    follow this by sending 0xff ff and 0x ff ff to make the gauge df open for access

    Then you can use the manuf access commands to read gauge rev

    write to 0x00 data 0100
    read back 2 bytes from register 0x40

    for chem ID write to 0x00 data 0x0600
    read back 2 bytes from register 0x40
