BQ25050: UL94 certified ?

No certification application was conducted before. What kind of system requires the UL94-V0 certification? Are all the components in the system required the certification?

Thank you for you answer.

My application is a medical device fitted with a battery.

The medical standard (ISO 61601-1) impose to use UL94-V0 components for security components (power connectors, fuses...).

As the battery is a dangerous component, the other components that manage this battery (charge and discharge) have to be UL certified.
