Hi,

We are using various battery chemistry types with the BQ34Z100-G1 device.

I am curious if the parameter labeled "Device Chemistry" is used in the firmware of the device?

If so, what are the allowable values?

If not, can put my own information there? For example, I'd like to set it to "AGM" or "CFAGM", etc...

A related parameter is the CHEM_ID which is only accessible via a read-only command.
It is not listed as one of the DATA FLASH (DF) parameters... so when a new DF file (file.gg.csv) is loaded, the CHEM_ID doesn't get changed as well.
Is the CHEM_ID value used as part of the impedance tracking algorithm? If so, is there a way I can write the CHEM_ID to the device when I change the DF contents? I do not want to have to reload a full SREC file!
