LP5569: Need help getting a program to run

Part Number: LP5569

Hi,

I have the BOOST-LP5569EVM and am trying to get the execution engines to run a program. I have found some example programs in another thread ("Linux/LP5569: Linux device driver for LP5569") and also tried writing my own, but have been unable to get them to run.

(EDIT: apparently my original post got mangled, so here it is again..)

These were the steps I followed in the LP5569 EVM GUI:

1. Set chip_en to 1 and set charge pump to Auto

2. I can control the LEDs using the PWM slider

3. In the "Program" tab, I set Master Mode to "Load program to SRAM" (the modes of all three engines switch to "Load program to SRAM")

4. I click on "Load Hex File" and select one of the example programs

5. I click "Upload to LP5569", this takes a while.. (The modes of all three engines have automatically switched back to "Disabled")

6. I set Master Mode to "Run program"

7. I set Master Exec to "Run"

=> all LEDs stay dark, in the LED mapping all LEDs stay unmapped, and if I manually read back register 01h (LED_ENGINE_CONTROL1), I read 0x00..

Am I missing a step or doing something wrong? Do you have a step by step guide on how to run a program?

Thanks.
