In some products, the control mode is not described in datasheet.

Do you Know the way to distinguish between Voltage mode and Current Mode when the control mode is not described in datasheet?

It is a little hard to describe on the forum, but basically:

Current Mode Control uses a trans conductance error amplifier. The compensation components for Type 2 or Type 1 will be connected from the COMP pin to GND.

Voltage Mode Control uses a traditional error amplifier. It will have a compensation network from Vout to VSENSA and from VSENSE to COMP for a Type 1, Type 2 or Type 3 compensation.

Our customer try to classify the control mode of buck DCDC converter.
We want to know the way to classify the control mode by datasheet.
For example, Internal circuit diagram, description in datasheet.

There are some other clues, Current mode control will typically have specification such as "gmea" = error amplifier trans conductance ot "GMPS" = power stage trans conductance. If you see those specifications then it implies current mode contro.l
