BQ25895: behaviour when power source is in suspend mode

Dear all,

one of my AA is evaluating the BQ25895 in his design. One of the requestd feature of the charger is recognizing that the power source (for instance a Laptop connected to the charger through USB port) is in suspend mode.

In this condition the charger has to stop charging the battery.

Can the BQ25895 support this mode ? If so which is its behaviour ?

The bq25895 D+/D- lines perform SDP, CDP or DCP USB port detection (VBUS detect, Data Connect Detect, Primary Detection and Secondary Detection) per USB BC1.2 but not enumeration. The USB spec allows for limited charging until enumeration. The host processor software needs to perform enumeration and then disable charging once USB host enters suspend.
