  • Hello Kobayashi-san,

Yes, the device should pass standard BCI testing in a properly designed system. The TPS65381x-Q1 is in volume production and has passed in various customer systems. BCI testing is a system level test so the system level design and PCB can have a major impact into a single components performance in the specific system. Also, BCI is a generic test and each OEM has specific and different ways the wiring harness is placed in the BCI coil, how ground (battery -) is routed (CBCI vs DBCI), etc.

At the device level there is a corollary test called DPI which has been performed on the TPS65381x-Q1. The test report is in the technical documents section of the product folder at: www.ti.com/.../slva575

Please use the datasheet guidelines in the application and layout sections, the design check list (www.ti.com/.../slva611) and the EMC filter application note, AN-2162 Simple Success With Conducted EMI From DCDC Converters, (www.ti.com/.../snva489c.pdf) to help ensure your system and PCB design has been made to the recommended practices for the device.

    Best Regards,
    Scott
