Dear all,

Could you teach me about failure mode of power part (switching part and current sink part)?

And if these part has short failure mode, is there the way to detect this failure?

    Hi Yamamoto-san,

    I'm not sure what kind of failure mode you are mentioning, but will answer with my best guess.
    - Internal SW FET and current sensing circuit can detect boost OCP limit and internal SW FET will stop switching at OCP condition
    - LED current sink regulates LED current and detect LED faults like open and short fault - If voltage at OUTx is lower than low comparator, LED open fault. If voltage at OUTx is higher than high comparator, LED short fault.
