Dear all,

For TPS53622 SVID setting, does TI provide some tools to configure the SVID in the register?

If not, how can the SVID address register be set in the prototype when firstly startup?

    Hi John,

    On the TPS53622 the SVID address gets set via a resistor divider on the ADDR pin. The address gets read in upon startup and the appropriate register is updated. Please see Section 5.3.2 on page 35 of the datasheet for information on setting the SVID address. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!

    For SVID address setting, when Raddrl is set to 21kohm, the address can be set by SVADDR_PRGM, in this application, how to set the register to set its address during start up? Besides, do we have some tools to set the register?

    Hi John,

    If you're going that route you can set the address register through PMBus programming. The part can be pre-programmed through the Fusion Manufacturing GUI during assembly or by whatever PMBus system management chip is on the board during operation.

    Your other option is to buy pre-programmed parts through Avnet for a fee.
