BQ27220: Bq27220_Fuel Gauge Programming and battery profile mismatch issue

Part Number: BQ27220
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCCEDV

Hi All,

We used BQ27220 in our design. We shared the Battery discharging profile with constant current of 0.270A. From on that TI generated and shared the golden image file.

We loaded the golden image file in the BQ27220 Fuel gauge. We taken discharging profile again after the code loaded in the fuel gauge,

its discharging gradually from 100% to 58%. But after 58% suddenly its showing as 7%. After that 7% to 1% its decreased linearly and get switched off.

Please check the log file and provide your feedback, any details we want to modify in the register details.

Note : To get the battery % we are reading the RSOC register in the fuel gauge.

Please check the attached files and provide the solution.

  • Hi Selva

When you say TI generated the golden file, can you specify who you were working with?

The fact that you are it is dropping to 7% means you haven't configured your cedv parameters correctly. Did you follow the steps outlined in our gpccedv tool?

    thanks
