TPS543C20: Load-bearing

Part Number: TPS543C20

Hi,

Could you tell me the Load-bearing of the following devices?
· TPS543C20RVFR
· TPS5628215RNNR
· TPS51206DSQR

The customer is considering attaching fins to the devices.
I would like to know Load-bearing under the following conditions.

【Condition】
I would like to know Load-bearing when considering the solder connection part with the board after mounting the board with the recommended footprint.

There is no problem even if it is not guaranteed value.
Do you have such information?

    Sakai,

    For TPS543C20, we do not have that information. TPS543C20 uses a thermal pad on the bottom of the package. It is designed to dissipate most of the heat out of that pad. Attaching a heat sink to the top of the package will not be effective compared to additional copper attached to the pad. A n interesting possibility (that I have not actually tried) would be to attach a heatsink directly to the PCB adjacent to the IC.
