Part Number: EV2300
Acquired the EV2300 HPA002 eval kit, to help read and program the GG file info. from and to 6 cell batteries that use the bq27541-G1 gas gauge. I am also working on firmware to allow the re-programming of the GG file in a given 6 cell battery when the battery is connected to our hardware.
The problem that I am having is the inability to change the GG file in the battery from the EV2300 kit, despite the fact that I was able to do that numerous times prior to the problem arising. Mainly I was able, from the eval kit, to go back and forth between two different GG files many times. I was also able to load a GG file by the eval kit, change the GG file info by our hardware and then validate that the new GG file info got programmed correctly using the eval kit. I did that around 20 times before getting to the current failed to program state.
The question that I have is if there is a limit on how many times the GG file can changed?
If not, can the eval kit be used to recover gas gauge programmability?
NOTE: The eval kit can currently communicate with the gas gauge and it appears that it is programming the GG file info, however the data doesn’t change in the gas gauge when read.
