BQ25120A: What does the data sheet mean by an I2C transaction? The bus is shared with many other devices.

Part Number: BQ25120A

Customer has a question regarding the BQ25120A datasheet.

In section 9.3.15 there is a sentence that reads, "Only after an I2C transaction is performed on the I2C interface, will the watchdog timer start."

What does the data sheet mean by an I2C transaction? The bus is shared with many other devices. Does any activity on the I2C bus start the watchdog timer or does it start only when an I2C transaction is initiated to the BQ25120A's I2C address?

Is a transaction one that is a read or write to this device or just general traffic on the I2C bus itself?
