BQ25895: Safety timer in host mode

Hi,

In the datasheet, safety timer is 4h when BAT is below Vbatlowv.

Does 4h timer work at the host mode as well?

12h fast charge safety timer doesn't work at the host mode.

    Hi David,

    The 4 hour precharge timer is hard coded (i.e. cannot be changed to different value by register) whenever V(BAT)<VBATLOWV. The 12 hour safety timer is the default setting when V(BAT)>VBATLOWV. Keep in mind that the safety timer goes 2X if any of the other feedback loops (VINDPM, IINDPM, ThermalReg, etc.) are active and reducing the charge current below the fast charge current setting. You can disable the 2X feature using REG09 bit 6.
