We would like to replace the battery charger BQ24026DRC with a Switched charger.

Because of heat issue and the power dissipation is P = (Vin - VI(BAT))x IO(OUT)

Do you have any suggestion(prefered for Pin2Pin )switched charger to replace BQ24026DRC ?

Hi Eli,

We do not have a pin 2 pin compatible switching charger. Does your application require dual input? What is your input voltage(s) and desired charging current?

Hi Jeff

The module connected to PC or wall wart through USB cable, the power line (5V,GND) connected to BQ24026DRC, then charger’s output connected to Li-Polymer Battery (3.0V..4.2V, 750mAh).

Today, the charging current is 500mA.

Eli,

If you want to keep using a standalone (no I2C communication) charger, then I recommend bq25606.

The battery working range is 3.5-4.2V or 4.35V. the nominal voltage is 3.7V (not 3V)

The charger shall support rechargeable battery 435.

The bq25606 has the VSET pin which sets the VBATREG to 4.2V, 4.35V or 4.1V.
