CCS/UCD3138A: UCD3138A external sync question?

If master/sync is 380KHz, it may reset the DPWM counter of slave before Event4(or Event 2).

In turn, this will cause the pulse to stay high for too long (Pulse extension).

You may want to use the timer capture feature to measure the master/sync signal's frequncy and adjust the phase and frequency of the slave to be equal to the frequency of master. and turn on the syncing feature only after this is done through firmware.
