Several power path device datasheets, like the BQ25601 recommend the 103AT-2 thermistor.
In the 103AT-2 thermistor datasheet under Specifications, note *2:
B value: determined by rated zero power resistance at 25C and 85C.
I wrote a spreadsheet to do the math and plugged in 25C and 85C, and they are spot on.
If I changed the inputs to 0C and 45C, I get RTH(cold) = 28704.2903897308 Ohms
, RTH(hot) = 4846.86742722154 Ohms
while the table would put RTH(cold) = 2748 Ohms, RTH(hot) = 4911 Ohms.
Go by the table, not the formula - it's just an approximation.
Also the BQ25601 data sheet, like others, doesn't state what thermistor resistance values are acceptable - is a 100K ntc thermistor OK to use?
