Dear sir,

Excuse me. Our customer need to know the thermal information of several devices as below table.

Some data I can find in the datasheet. But empty items I have no idea.

Would you please help to provide them? Thank you very much.

I searched TS5A3159A in the switches and multiplexers e2e forum and found these posts that include the thermal metrics you ask for and an excel calculator to calculate the maximum junction temperature when passing the maximum current through the switch.

I used these two post to fill out the information in the table above.

The power dissipated from the HD3SS3212 is at 2mW at max and the TS3USB221A is around 99 uW. You can calculate the rest of the values from the datasheet using the formulas in the links that Adam posted.

Hi, CK Ho,

You can use below formula to calculate Tc.

Power: Power dissipation of TPS2552D = Rds(on)*Iout*Iout. For value of Theta-Jc, please check "thermal information" table in TPS2552D datasheet.

Hi CK Ho,

For the TPS22961, the maximum power dissipated in the device will be 316mW. This is assuming the worst case on-resistance (8.8mΩ) and highest current (6A). With this self-heating, the junction temperature at TA=85°C will reach 99°C. Using the junction to case thermal resistance, the max case temperature will be about 85°C.

Hello CK Ho,

For TPS51225C, theta JA is 94, the JC is 58. You can calculate the temp according to above data and power loss. Adam Torma uoload the detail calculated way. please refer it.

CK Ho,

It is recommended to use the INA199B1 instead of the A1 for ESD robustness.

According to our datasheet, power dissipated can be around 3mW for Iq = 115uA (over temp) * 26V supply.

Using the thermal model, if the junction temperature is 150°C the case temperature will be 149.76°C

Hi CK,

It's not clear what you mean by Tc and Pd. Specifically for TPS63051, there are no limits for these items. Just observe the junction temperature limit.
