We are currently using the IC TPS22976 for our application and we have observed that the failure rate is bit high.
The reasons we found behind this are:
- Soldering
- Voltage and current rating
- The major observation is the shorting of IC's thermal pad and pins, which is causing the inappropriate output of the IC
We faced the same failure issue even when the IC is soldered using stencil.
Can you suggest us the guidelines of soldering this IC in order to overcome these issues? And also the precautions to be taken while handling it with hot air gun etc..
