EV2300: I bougth EV2300 adapter two months ago which came with the 3.1c corrupted version

Part Number: EV2300

I wonder how ev2300 adapter i still being sold with a corrupted version and the only way to be upgraded is buying a new ev2300 adapter. And more than this it also corrupted my bq34z100-g1 evaluation board.

This is not described in its datasheet neither in the most of the sellers webpage. What are the responsabilities of TI on this subject?

  • Hi João,

What problems are you experiencing, and how can we help you debug?

    Thanks

  • Hi Miguel,

I was doing all the procedure to configure the bq34z100 and I created the bq34z100 golden file successfully but then when I tried to program the srec file (from the golden image) into another board it corrupted the new bq34z100 chip and it said “no acknowledge from the device”
I went through the TI forum and I found that the version ev2300 v3.1c that I bought, it corrupts the golden file when programming and bq34z100 chips and they also became corrupted (undetectable through I2C using bqstudio).
  • My problem is described exactly in this page:

  • Hi Joao,

Sorry for the long delay. I spoke with our customer support and they asked me to have you contact the location you purchased the EV2300 from. It seem that old material has not been flushed and you received a faulty EV2300. If you bout this through the TI eStore then you can contact ti customer support and they have assured me that you will get a brand new EV2300 and you can also request bq34z100-G1.

If you purchased this EV2300 through a distributor then you can use this thread link as a case to confirm the broken EVM and then you can also go through our TI eStore to request a new EV2300. You can use this link for your case.

    I apologies for the inconvenience.

    Thanks

    Miguel
