Thanks so much!

  • I have created a library containing these devices.  This is a new library and none of these library parts are previously verified or tested.  You may use them at your own discretion.  We take no responsibility for the accuracy of these at this time, but this is the best I can do at short notice0652.Libraries.zip

  • Some of our ICs contain symbols and footprints in the ICs tool folder.  If the ICs in question do not have this information or don't have it in the format you need, you can request one be generated through the development tools/analog elab forum   http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/analog_elab_and_tools/default.aspx

  • is this a pretty standard practice for TI?

What's the lead time look like for that?
Can I do that with all of the business units?
Any guidelines on what areas in the forum I should put in my various requests (power's a different business unit from digital, etc.)?
    Thanks again!
  • The team that generates the symbols and footprints is not product line specific, so you should be able to request a symbol and footprint for any IC.  I am unable to comment on how long it takes to receive the information after you make a request.

  • Every product folder has a "Pricing / Packaging / CAD Design Tools / Samples" section.  This may or may not actually have any CAD data present.  If there is already CAD data, there is a link to request or suggest additional formats.  If there is no CAD data, you can contact your local AFA or post in the forum that matches the product line of the device you are interested in.  I can tell you that for TPS54XXX devices, the CAD symbols are generally not available on line, but this appears to more the exception than. the rule ( I did a random sampling of TI devices in othr product groups, and all the ones I looked at did have CAD data).  For our TPS54XXX devices we do generate CAD symbols (previously PCAD, now we are converting to PADS) for internal use.  These meet the requirements for our manucacturing process to build simple evaluation boards, and may or may not meet your specific manufacturing processes.  These symbols and foot prints can be requested here in this forum.
